TN Visa Apiculturist

An Apiculturist studies culture and breeding of bees, conducts experiments on bee diseases and their causes and controls, and studies the factors that affect yields of nectar, as well as the pollen on different plants visited by bees.

Apiculturists also conduct research on different phases of pollination, and care for bees for the agricultural and commercial purposes. They develop ways to improve bee strains and use selective breeding through artificial insemination on bees for greater productivity.

To qualify for a TN Visa as an Apiculturist, the applicant must have earned, and is able to provide proof of the following educational requirements:

  1. Baccalaureate or Licenciatura Degree

The applicant for the TN Visa Apiculturist profession must also provide the additional requirements:

  1. Proof of Canadian citizenship;
  2. A detailed letter from prospective employer;
  3. Proof of intent to return to his/her permanent residence in Canada at the expiration of the temporary TN Visa stay

If the applicant is able to provide evidence of the requirements enumerated above, he/she may qualify for TN Visa Apiculturist professional status.

A qualified Apiculturist can obtain TN Visa Professional status for a maximum of three years. Any extension of the status may be issued for up to three years provided that the individual continues to comply with the requirements for TN Visa professionals. The number of extensions has no limit. However, the professional must continue to demonstrate that his/her employment is temporary in nature, and that his/her NAFTA entry is not used to bypass normal procedures of immigration.
