Qualifications for a TN Visa as a Nurse (RN)
In order to qualify for a TN visa as a registered nurse you must meet the following requirements:
- Proof of Canadian or Mexican Citizenship;
- A detailed offer/support letter from a U.S. employer;
- A Baccalaureate or Licenciatura Degree in Nursing or a closely related field, OR State/provincial license; and
- A valid VisaScreen.
A new TN visa can be obtained in one of three (3) ways: (1) In person with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), (2) By mail with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), or (3) At a U.S. Consulate or Embassy.
TN Visa Duration
