TN Visa Range Manager/Conservationalist

A Range Manger/Conservationist applies ecological principles for using rangelands and range resources for various purposes, such as wildlife habitat, watersheds, grazing by livestock, aesthetics and recreation, and other associated uses. The work of this professional involves research in rangeland management practices to ensure sustained forage, wildlife and livestock production.

A Range Manager/Conservationist develops a plan for utilizing rangeland resources by collecting information about the productive capability of rangelands, their intended use, current condition, and their owners’ objectives. Some other potential titles of Range Manager/Conservationist are Natural Resource Specialist, Rangeland Management Specialist, Natural Resource Manager, Land Management Supervisor, Resource Manager, Wildlife Manager, Range Technician, Grassland Conservationist, Conservationist, and Habitat Management Coordinator.

To qualify for a TN Visa as a Range Manager/Conservationist, the applicant for the TN visa profession must have earned, and is able to provide proof of the following educational requirements:

  1. Baccalaureate or Licenciatura Degree

The applicant for a TN Visa as a Range Manager/Conservationist must also provide the additional requirements:

  1. Proof of Canadian citizenship;
  2. A detailed support letter from prospective employer;
  3. Proof of intent to return to his/her permanent residence in Canada at the expiration of the temporary TN Visa stay

If the applicant is able to provide evidence of the requirements enumerated above, he/she may qualify for TN Visa Range Manager/Conservationist professional status.

A qualified Range Manager/Conservationist can obtain TN Visa Professional status for a maximum of three years. Any extension of the status may be issued for up to three years provided that the individual continues to comply with the requirements for TN Visa professionals. The number of extensions has no limit. However, the professional must continue to demonstrate that his/her employment is temporary in nature, and that his/her NAFTA entry is not used to bypass normal procedures of immigration.
